Mine is mounted direct to a piling as is the flag pole. Pole is only 16 ft and light is bright on the flag. Focus adjustment feature is good and it has an on/off switch which I think is useful. A big point to me is that the battery can be replaced when it loses capacity so the product does not just go to a landfill as is the case for so many cheap lights.
Pros
- Focus feature, on/off switch, quality construction, flexibility of mounting, replaceable battery.
Cons
- Battery type should be placarded on outside of module.

I have previously purchased solar lights for our flagpole from box stores and they didn't provide much light and, frankly they were junk. The solar flagpole light I bought from Earthtech is great! It's a solid unit and illuminates our flag the way our national flag deserves to be displayed.

If I put the light on flagpole before setting upright in sleeve , how does one then reach the lights on the flagpole that are now 15 to 20 feet in the air to change the fixtures or the batteries when that becomes necessary?
