Good for RV.
August 4, 2024
I bought this generator to power up my RV when I am in remote locations. It runs everything good but I may need extra power packs to extend the use.
Pros
- Able to power RV AC and 120 VAC devices.
Cons
- Unit is a little heavy, and by itself will only supply power for up to 3 hours. Will need to test with solar cells connected and another batter pack connected.

Can you use higher watt panels than your 100 watt Solar panels? I would like to use a 200 or 300 watt panel if possible..
1 Answer
You can use off-brand panels provided the panel does not exceed 300 watts, uses a compatible connection type and is within the voltage allowance of 14-22v. Thank you for your inquiry!

How long is the SLA Battery Life compared to a Lithium Ion Battery Life?
Im a novice and trying to decide which solar generator to buy for off-grid living in Southern Nevada and Southern Utah where it frequently is cold at night, but warm or hot in the daytime. Im not so much interested in cost as I am about how long these pricey batteries will last? I do like the dual options of both solar and wind offered on the SLA generators. Do any Lithium Ion Generators offer this dual option? Thank you in advance.
1 Answer
Typically SLA batteries need replacing after 3-5 years, vs lithium which is normally replaced after 5-10 years. We do not offer any lithium based generators that are compatible with a wind turbine at this time. Thank you for your inquiry!

Can this unit be charged via the cars cigarette lighter plug? Or the 110 outlet in the car? Does it take so long to charge the system because it uses the acid battery, as other solar generators charge much quicker? Thanks
1 Answer
You cannot recharge this system via Cigarette lighter adapter. You can however recharge via a 110V outlet. It takes 6-8 hours to fully recharge this system from 200 watts of solar which is standard for this type of system. Thank you for your inquiry!

Will this work with ANY solar panels or ONLY with the ones that you sell?
1 Answer
We typically recommend using the panels designed for this system. However, as long as the connections are compatible, the voltage range is between 17.4 - 21.6V and they do not exceed a total of 300 watts; you can use alternate brand panels. Thank you for your inquiry!
