I purchased 2 sets. One for the outside of our tent and one for the inside. But they can be used almost anywhere. They arrived fairly quickly and well packaged. And the best part was they were on sale.

Can the lights work while being charged?

The lights will work when the product is being charged by the USB port but will not go on while being charged by the solar panel.

In photo #2 how is the solar panel attached to the deck? Is there a way to attach it?

Unfortunately, there is no built in means to mount the panel down. We would recommend a command type sticky mount for temporary mounting. Thank you for your inquiry!

Can you daisy-chain multiple strands? If so, how many in your longest configuration?

The total length of cable will be 18ft. There is currently no way to chain two string lights together.
