Panels are good, don't like the design that much
October 25, 2019
Took one point off for the design. Having the panels be on the outside when you fold them up makes me nervous when putting away in their bags, or trying to set them down before opening.
The panels themselves are really good. I was able to get 75..80W from each of them, and they are heavy enough that so far winds have not moved them at all. So far I have 4 of these linked to my Yeti, and they are working quite well.

Pros
- Panels themselves are good.
Cons
- Design is a little strange. Scared to scratch them.

Briefcase Solar Panel
October 4, 2017
This is the first time we've purchased such a product, and so far so good. We were surprised that when the panels fold to go into the carrying bag, they fold with the solar panels facing outward. Seems like if the panels were facing inward, they would be better protected for transport.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Does the panel come equipped with a battery regulator if it is use to charge non-Yeti batteries? I want to charge a deep cycle battery but I want to make sure I don't overcharge them.
1 Answer
The panel does not include a charge controller, as the units they are typically paired with (Goal Zero Yeti Power Stations) have built in charge controllers. Please contact us at 877-548-3387 and we can assist in finding you a suitable charge controller for your application. Thank you for your inquiry!

To connect two of the Boulder 100 Briefcase Solar Panels together to be used with the Yeti Goal Zero 400, what is required to do this?I realize the Boulder 100 comes with a very short 8mm cord. So I would need an extension of about 10 feet or so and another cord to daisy chain two Boulder 100's together?
Thank you
1 Answer
2 Boulder 100 Panels cannot be used on the Yeti 400 since it would exceed the 120 watt input wattage allowance.
