This week we would like to introduce the new and exciting Sherpa 100 AC Power Bank. This upgraded AC charger features the most advanced wireless charging capabilities on the market. Designed to be paired with a compatible solar panel for on the go replenishable AC and DC power. Today we will go over the features that make this product unique.
What makes the Sherpa 100 AC Power Bank Special?
The lightweight 94.7Wh battery makes this 2-pound recharger a powerhouse right out of the gate. The previous version of the Sherpa 100 had a separate AC inverter that had to be connected to the main unit to output AC power. With the new and improved model, the AC inverter is built directly into the device making it sleek and compact. The 5-Watt Wireless output capability truly sets this device apart.
How does it work?
The Powerbank can be charged in many different ways. The most common being one of the included USB cables in roughly 8-10 hours. You can pick up a Sherpa Power Supply AC accessory cable (Sold Separately) and recharge directly from the wall (110V AC) in about 3 hours. The Sherpa can be recharged via a 12V Car adapter as well, which is great in the event of a power outage or when traveling. Lastly, a compatible solar panel can be used to fully recharge the system in about 7-14 hours or less. The duration will vary based on the size of the solar panel. (The larger the panel, the faster the recharge rate)
The recommended line of Goal Zero panels start with the Nomad 14 Plus panel which takes approximately 14-28 hours to fully recharge. The next size up is the Nomad 28 Plus panel, which takes an average of 7-14 hours. Finally, the Boulder 50-Watt Solar Panel will recharge the Sherpa in 4-8 hours.
What items can it power?
The most popular uses based on the size and power output of the Sherpa 100 are the standard line of smart devices. Smart Phones, Watches, Fit Bits, Laptops, Tablets, Cameras, LED lights are all great options. On a full charge, you can fully charge the average laptop two times, the average Tablet 3 times, Smartphone 10 times and POV camera 18 times. This makes the Sherpa 100 AC perfect for power outages, international trips, family outings and exploring/hiking excursions.
Lithium batteries can cause problems during air travel, which is why the Sherpa 100 AC was designed for Airline approval with travel ready specifications.
