The Goal Zero Yeti Link and Tank Expansion Battery – New Release Spotlight

Posted 3-22-2019 | Filed under Product Guides | Comments (2)

After an extensive development and testing process, the heavily anticipated battery expansion products for the Goal Zero Line of Portable Solar Generators are finally here! Offering a whopping 1200Wh/100 AH storage expansion per Yeti Tank; storing back up power has never been easier. Designed to be paired with the Home Integration Kit and Yeti Link Module, once installed, you can back up four key circuits in your home with reliable, plug and play backup power that will last for days on end.

The Yeti Link Module:

The Yeti Link Expansion Module allows the user to create a backup power system composed of compatible Lithium and Lead Acid Batteries. Featuring an Under-the-Lid module installation configuration and Battery level indicator, this device allows you to retain a lightweight, portable, lithium based main unit, and pair it with low cost, self-contained sealed lead acid batteries for limitless expansion purposes. (Yeti Link not required with Yeti 1250 Generator)

Plan on tailgating this weekend at the big game? Simply disconnect your Link Module, pick up your lightweight power pack and be on your way. Concerned about the incoming storm the following day? No problem! Plug the Link Module back into your Yeti Generator once you get home and power your essentials through the most severe storms.

Goal Zero Yeti Tank Expansion Battery:

The Yeti Tank offers a plug-and-play solution to large scale battery storage. Compatible with the entire Goal Zero Lithium Line of Generators (not to mention the Original SLA based Yeti 1250). While Lithium batteries offer a fantastic benefit in the portable power sector, they leave much to be desired from a cost and configuration standpoint. The Tank/Link combo allows for up to 1000 Watts of power to be transferred from your Tank into the Yeti per hour and the stream of power is only limited to the number of tanks on hand.

Goal Zero Home Energy Storage Kits:

The newest line of custom created kits located in the Goal Zero Solar Charger Kits Section, features a Yeti Lithium Generator, the Yeti Link Module, the Integration Kit for home breaker box assimilation and a number of Yeti Tank Expansion batteries based on your needs. These kits can be custom purchased to include the Generator of your choice, any quantity of expansion battery tanks and even solar panel add on options.

With the included Integration Kit, you can link your Generator/Tank set up to your home circuit breaker and allow for up to 4 key circuits to run on your Yeti Storage Kit. No more running extension cords or dragging heavy appliances around your home. The Goal Zero 3.8 kWh Home Energy Storage Kit - Featuring the Yeti 1400 is a great example.

The All New Goal Zero Yeti Tank and Link allow your Yeti Generators to effortlessly transition from Portable Lightweight Power Pack to Stationary Powerhouse. As always, we are just a phone call away (877-548-3387) and are happy to offer our expertise on all of your Solar and Battery Backup needs!

"Using the yeti tank expansion link. How can I attach my Ranger 300 solar panels to charge my expansion tanks? It has the high power Anderson connector. Can I use the Anderson to 8mm adapter cable to attach it?"
Earthtech Products Replied
"You would not want to use the Ranger 300 to recharge your expansion tanks as is, as that panel produces far more power than the normal 8mm input can handle (you would also require the 8mm to HPP adapter).
In order to use the Ranger 300 Solar Panel with the Expansion Tank and Link combination, the 30 Amp External MPPT Charge Controller Kit would be required. Thank you for your inquiry!" ·
